Maggie’s celebrates Katie’s five years with the team

Staff and children at Maggie’s Day Nursery and Forest School in Breadsall have been celebrating with Katie, who marked five years as part of the team this September.

To thank her for her long service, the nursery has given Katie a long service bonus, an extra day of holiday and a pay rise. She is now working towards becoming qualified with the support of Maggie’s, and the team is looking forward to seeing her develop even further in the years ahead.

Colleagues at the nursery said they were very proud of the journey Katie has made so far. She is a much-loved face in the nursery and the children adore her, so the milestone was marked in style with a giant pink number five balloon.

Katie’s anniversary comes during a month in which Maggie’s has been introducing members of its team on Facebook, including Jess, Room Leader in the Bobtails room, and Debbie and Lucia from the outdoor team.

Maggie’s is an Ofsted Outstanding day nursery and forest school at Hilltop in Breadsall, where children spend their days in woodland, gardens, the orchard, the allotment and the animal areas. Founded by Margaret Mason OBE, the nursery is a national award winner for outdoor learning.
